‘I envision a peaceful world where all creatures can live a dignified life’

April 14, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that he envisions a world where all creatures can live a dignified life.

“I believe in a prosperous world where all living creatures can live a peaceful and dignified life,” PM Oli said.

In a televised address on the occasion of the New Year 2078 Bikram Sambat (BS) from PM’s office in Singhadurbar on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli informed that the social security allowance would increase in the budget for the next fiscal year.

He said that the government had taken larger strides towards development in the year 2077 BS as compared to previous years.

PM Oli said that the government would launch new programs to expedite development in the coming year.

Admitting the shortcomings to development caused by the Covid-19 pandemic last year. He said, “We have achieved a lot despite the Covid 19 pandemic. It should be considered a successful year, not a failed one. ‘

He said that some of the major successes of the government in the last year included bringing different militant groups back to mainstream politics and providing water from Melamchi to the people of the Kathmandu valley.

The Prime Minister said that the government had also succeeded in minimizing the damage caused due to the Covid-19 pandemic by adopting proper and timely policies.

Saying rumours were being spread regarding the enforcement of a lockdown in the country, PM Oli said that the government would leave no stones unturned to prevent a situation where a lockdown would be mandatory.
