Rukum East road accident kills one policeman injuring five others

Rukum East: A policeman has died and five other personnel including two Deputy Superintendents of Police have been injured in a road accident in Rukum East today.

A vehicle of the Nepal Police met with an accident at Putha Uttarganga rural municipality-11in the district.

The deceased has been identified as Policeman Laxman Pun.

The police said among the injured, Police Constable and Driver of the Van Kumar Dangi and Policeman Santosh Buda are in critical condition.

In the same accident, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Nepal Police, Prakash Dangi, Deputy Superintendent of Police of Armed Police Force, Rabindra Shrestha, and Policeman Indra Gharti were also injured.

Rukum East Chief District Officer Tularaj Sunuar said the injured have been airlifted to Kohalpur of Banke for treatment.
