Knowledge of Buddhist Era should be incorporated in syllabus of present education system: President Bhandari

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said the knowledge and education of the Buddhist Era should be incorporated in the syllabus of the present education system.

Addressing the anniversary of Lumbini Buddhist University organized in Lumbini on Thursday, President Bhandari stated that the act of including the knowledge of the Buddhist Era in the syllabus would help transfer the lineage of the Buddhist civilization to the future generation.

The President also stressed on the need for focusing on research-based syllabus in a bid to produce skilled manpower in the country.

Also speaking on the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Paudel vowed to add more programs in Lumbini Buddhist University.
