Severe cold forces school closure in Rajbiraj

December 21: The Rajbiraj Municipality in Saptari district has announced to close the schools for three days following severe cold.

In a press statement today, Mayor of the Rajbiraj Municipality Shambhu Prasad Yadav said that the schools would remain closed from December 22 to 24 as the biting cold has affected the normal life lately. Decision was taken to close all the private and community schools in the municipality, read the press statement.

Yadav further said that the leave could be extended further by holding consultations with the principals if the severe cold continues. Likewise, normal life in the district was affected with the cold wave and severe cold and the local market is virtually closed in the eastern Tarai.
