Communications Minister Baskota expresses concern over influence of biased journalism

Kathmandu, Dec 17: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has expressed his concern over the influence of biased journalism among the citizen.

Addressing the 55th anniversary celebration of ‘The Rising Nepal” a National Daily today, Minister Baskota said the mainstream media houses should ensure fact-based contents.

He took time to claim that some media houses seemed making efforts at misleading the masses by making fake accusations against the government in various contexts.

Stating the government does not fear at all the criticisms over its activities, he urged the journalists, writers and columnists to criticise the government based on facts and not on fictitious basis.
