Two people died and Sixteen injured in a pickup van accident at Bardibas municipality in Mahottari

December 4: Two people died and 16 others were injured in an accident involving a pickup van at Bardibas municipality-5, Mahottari.

The dead have been identified as Sakuntaladevi Saha, 80, of Dhanusha and Bartaniyadevi Saha, 65, of Sitahi of Bihar, India, the District Police Office Mahottari confirmed. The van carrying pilgrims met with the accident near Gadhata Bridge at around 4:00 am as the driver lost control of it all of a sudden.

Four including  Kabita Kumari Mahato, 27, of Dhanisha who were severely injured  have been  sent to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan while remaining 12 are being treated at the Bardibas-based Shuvaswastik Hospital.
