NA approves proposal seeking suspension of a rule of National Assembly Regulations, 2075 BS
Kathmandu, September 16: Likewise, the second meeting of the National Assembly today unanimously approved the proposal seeking suspension of a rule of the National Assembly Regulations, 2075 BS presented in accordance with Rule 232 of the same regulations.
The proposal was presented by lawmaker Khim Lal Bhattarai while lawmakers Pramila Kumari and Komal Oli seconded it.
In the meeting, Legislation Management Committee president Parshuram Meghi Gurung tabled the report of the committee related to the ‘ Land Related (Eighth Amendment) Bill, 2075 BS’.
The meeting also approved the Industrial Enterprises Bill. Minister for Finance Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada had presented a proposal in the meeting on behalf Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, seeking consideration on the bill along with the message received from the House of Representatives.
The Assembly meeting approved the proposal unanimously after Finance Minister Khatiwada responded to the queries raised by the lawmakers in course of the discussions held in course of the principles of the bill.
The National Assembly has send the ‘Passport Bill, 2075 BS’ to the Legislation Management Committee for reconsideration.
Likewise, the meeting has unanimously approved the amendment made by the House of Representatives to the ‘Advertisement (Regulation) Bill, 2075 BS’.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota had presented the proposal in the meeting. The National Assembly will next meet at 3 pm on Tuesday, September 17.
