Film Act to be introduced soon: Minister Banskota

September 10, Kathmandu :  Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has reaffirmed that government would bring a new Film Act aimed at protecting, promoting and regulating the film sector of the country.

Addressing the 32nd anniversary of the Film Artistes Association of Nepal (FAAN) yesterday in Kathmandu, Minister Banskota shared that the Act would accord priority to the subject matters that further strengthen nationality and promote unity in diversity.

He however said the bill to this was not presented in the parliament owing to some technical issues.
