NA Lawmakers stress on appointing officials in Tribhuvan University through open competition

Kathmandu, August 1: National Assembly Lawmakers have stressed on appointing officials in Tribhuvan University through open competition rather than in party quota.

Speaking in the meeting of the National Assembly, Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Khimlal Bhattarai urged the government to formulate work procedure to appoint high officials in Tribhuvan University shunning the party quota system.

Likewise, Nepali Congress Lawmaker Radheshyam Adhikari seconded the opinion expressed by Khimlal Bhattarai and urged the government to make the appointment transparent.

The lawmakers also drew the government’s attention towards skyrocketing price hike of edibles including vegetables, fish and mean.
