Kathmandu, July 19: The government has been making preparation to celebrate International Youth Day on 12 August 2019. The National Youth Council today held discussions with different organizations about marking the day.
On the occasion, all the participants stressed the need for taking the Day in an effective manner rather than celebrating it for a day as a ritual.
Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwokarma said that the International Youth Day will be celebrated for the whole year by organising various activities. He further said the Ministry has been bringing programmes in order to resolve youths’ problems and challenges.
He said the Day will be celebrated in an effective manner as the government has announced this year as ‘Youth Mobilization Year’.
