PM Oli says security persons mobilized for rescue operation and minimizing further loss from disaster
Kathmandu, July 12: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the security persons have been mobilized for prompt rescue of the disaster victims and minimize further loss in view of the floods triggered by the heavy rainfall across the country.
In his tweet, the PM stated that the concerned ministry has been working actively by providing early information of possible risks and the efforts are underway to establish coordination with India for solving the inundation problem in the bordering area of Sarlahi district.
The PM also expressed grief over the loss of lives and property and extended condolences to the families of the victims. Meanwhile, the Madhesi Commission has urged the concerned bodies to mitigate the loss caused by floods and inundation in Madhes area.
Issuing a press note, the Commission urged local social activists, organizations, people’s representatives, local administrations, Nepal Red Cross and other stakeholders to coordinate and cooperate with each other to ensure prompt rescue of the disaster victims and their rehabilitation with relief materials.
