Kathmandu, July 3: Four hundred forty-one thousand one hundred forty-one people have applied for various employee positions at the local levels.
Public Service Commission (PSC) spokesman Kiran Raj Sharma informed that 434 thousand 764 have applied towards the open category, 103 thousand 567 towards the women quota, 43 thousand 326 towards the indigenous nationalities quota, 24 thousand 90 towards Madhesi quota, three thousand 91 towards Dalit quota, 146 towards the disabled quota and 116 towards the backward area quota.
PSC had called for applications to 9,161 positions in the 515 local levels on May 29. Spokesman Sharma said revenue of Rs 140 million 411 thousand 150 has been collected from the registration of the applications.
PSC says the written test for filling up the vacant posts in the local levels would be conducted in the third week of July. (RSS)
