PM Oli’s directives to make NAC efficient and capable

Kathmandu, July 1: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the national flag-carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)’s management to take immediate steps for the reformation of the corporation.

The  Prime Minister questioned why the NAC is continuously bearing a loss while other private airlines companies are making huge profits.   PM Oli, who is also looking after the portfolio of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, issued directives for immediately forwarding the task of expanding the NAC’s international destinations.

Addressing the 61st-anniversary function of NAC in the capital today, PM Oli said Nepal Airlines has an important role in also making the Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign meaningful. He stressed on creating an environment in which the NAC’s aircraft are operated within their full capacity.

The Prime Minister also urged the NAC management to pay serious attention towards the effective operation and upgrading of services of the Corporation which remains as the suitable medium for the positive growth of the economy of the entire nation.

He further urged the NAC to make efforts for operating wide-body aircraft for long-haul flights. (RSS)
