Six arrested on way to airport to collect 76.79 million in fake Indian currency

Kathmandu, May 24: Police have arrested six people including Yunus Miya Ansari from the Tribhuvan International Airport while they were entering the airport to collect millions of Indian counterfeit notes.

The police said they while they were trying to ship counterfeit Indian bank notes worth in 76 million 794 thousand rupees that had entered Nepal from Pakistan via Qatar,.

Ansari is the person who has been implicated in several similar incidents before. Police said the investigation into this still continuing as it involves a large amount of fake notes.

Two Nepali and three Pakistani nationals have also been arrested along with Ansari.

The Pakistanis were bringing the money on a Qatar Airways flight while the three others including Ansari had reached the airport to collect the amount.
