106 expedition teams granted permissions to climb various peaks in the country
Kathmandu, May 14: At the advent of the spring season, the ascend to the highest peak of the world, Mount Everest has begun for this season. Tourism Department General Manager Dhunduraj Ghimire said that with a team of eight Sherpas reaching to Everest Peak today fixing ropes.
According to the tourism department, 378 climbers of 41 expedition teams are heading to Everest peak today. The department has also said some 106 expedition teams comprising 842 mountaineers have taken permissions to climb various peaks in the country.
In this season, Nepal has collected some 500 million rupees revenue from expeditions.
