Three killed in forest fire in Salyan   

Salyan, May 14: Three people were killed in recent forest fire incidents in Salyan district.

55 years old Punti Bohora, of Simpani of Chattreshwori Rural Municipality-6, 60 years old Gobaran Pun of Duberi in Sarada Municipality and 40 years old Khagendra Bohora of Simpani in Chattreshwori Rural Municipality-6 were killed while fighting forest fire that had entered their settlement on May 11.

According to the District Police Office, Salyan, cases of forest fire were reported in various community forests across Salyan district lately. Punti and Gobardan died on the spot while Khagendra, who was seriously injured in the incident died during treatment in Kathmandu today. (RSS)
