New Civil Code comes into effective for all the cases

Kathmandu, April 23: New Civil Code has been made effective for all the cases that have come in the ambit of the court.

Addressing a press meet, Chief Register at the Supreme court Nripadhwoj Niraula said that from 15th April 2019, new Civil code has been made effective for all the cases related to criminal cases.

Earlier although the new civil code had been brought into effect on 17 August 2018, the code was made effective only in the cases that were registered after 17 August 2018 and the cases that were registered in the court before that were treated as per the old civil code provision.

Meantime, he also requested the media persons not to publicize immature news as the cases in the court are directly related to the life of the public.
