Nine people injured in clashes on final day of Bisket Jatra

Bhaktapur, April 19: At least nine people have been injured in clashes that took place during the chariot pulling procession of Hindu God Bhairav on the final day of Bisket Jatra in Bhaktapur.

The clash flared up when the devotees participating in the ceremony started hurling stones at each other after the chariot smashed into a house, police said.

Some of the injured had fallen from the chariot while pulling it, informed DSP, Rewati Raman Pokharel.
The injured are receiving medical treatment at Bhaktapur Hospital.
