Home Minister Thapa honours Home Secretary Rai and IGP Khanal

Kathmandu, April 18: Minister for Home Affairs, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has honored Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai and Inspector General of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khanal at a programme organised at the Home Ministry today.

On the occasion, Secretary Rai and IGP Khanal each were awarded Rs 8,000 along with Letter of Appreciation while Under-secretary Shivanath Poudel, accounts officer Phaiendra Kumar Shrestha, Shalikram Parajuli and accountant Nara Bahadur Kunwar each were awarded Rs 6,000 and Letter of Appreciation for clearing 63.03% the arrears under the ministry.

Speaking in the programme, Home Minister Thapa urged the awarded employees to carry out further excellent works in the future.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and its subordinate bodies have cleared 63.03 percent amount remaining as arrears in the fiscal year 2017/018 and fiscal year 2018/019. The Ministry and bodies under it have cleared 2 billion 716 million 200 thousand rupees out of the arrears amount of Rs 4.3097 billion. Similarly, the Nepal Police has cleared 85.14 percent or Rs 580.25 million out of the total arrears of Rs 684.1million in fiscal year 2017/018. (RSS)
