Mutual unity and tolerance with social harmony is the need of the time: PM Oli

Kathmandu, September 20: PM KP Sharma Oli has said that mutual unity and tolerance with social harmony is the need of the time instead of recklessness and anarchy.

Addressing the special ceremony organized at Tundikhel in Kathmandu to mark the Constitution Day today, PM Oli said struggle at present is not for democratic system but to institutionalize and bolster the federal democreatic repulic achieved after a long struggle.

Sying the unemployed youth in the country have been busy in the bogus debate on social networking sites instead of being creative and innovative, the PM added that the young people in the country have failed to have positive interactions with society and the government.

The PM also expressed his discontent that in the name of critical approach, it seems that the public spaces like social networking sites have been used to ignite hate, enmity, uncouthness and use abusive language.

PM Oli also said from this fiscal year onwards the government is working delivering results as the government has already signed the workplan implementation contracts. He also said timelines have been fixed even to accomplish the National pride projects in time.

The PM also said nobody should be divided into ruling side and opposition side in the context of the implementation of the constitution. Saying the government has been successful to bring some who had been carrying extremist ideology to the mainstream, the PM urged all to come to mainstream shunning violence.

He also vowed to check any kind of activities against national security and demobilization of national unity either in the veil of politics or other as the achievement gained through struggle is in the phase of institutionalization.

Assuring the government’s responsibility for judicial distribution of profit made through the democratic system the PM said people are the foundation of democracy and democratic institutions become strong only when people are strong.

Meantime, the PM said the bases for development has been carved and people’s aspirations will meet as the country has got a strong people elected government. He also said Nepal’s foreign relation has been bolstered and relations with a neighbour has been stronger. Therefore, Nepal has been visible and audible in a global context.

PM Oli further added that the public procurement act has been amended to have transparent public transactions.

Saying with the active steps taken by anti-graft body corrupts are being booked, the PM said no one involved in corruption will be pardoned.
