NA passes National ID Card and Registration Bill

Kathmandu, September 17:  A meeting of the National Assembly today passed the ‘National Identity Card and Vital Registration Bill-2075 BS’. The bill presented by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa before the meeting was endorsed unanimously.

Likewise, the National Assembly meeting unanimously endorsed the Passport Bill -2975. Foreign Affairs Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali had presented the bill in the meeting seeking its endorsement.

Similarly, the National Assembly approved the Land Management Bill 8th Amendment – 2076 with the majority. Minister for Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal had presented the bill in the meeting.

Responding to the questions raised by the lawmakers in the meeting, Minister Aryal said the land will be classified as per new system and no one will have a chance to work deceiving the system.

The opposition party leaders have opposed the bill saying the provision of letting the industries and organization to sell the land beyond the limit will only help the land mafias.
