PM Oli leaves for Europe visits

Kathmandu, June 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has embarked on Europe visit. The PM boarded on the plane at 7:15 PM this evening. During his Europe stay, PM will pay formal visits to Switzerland, France and the UK.

First PM will pay a visit to Switzerland and address the 100th annual conference of International Labour Organization going to be organized in Geneva. According to the Foreign Ministry sources, on the sideline of the conference, the PM is scheduled to have bilateral talks with his counter parts and high level officials from some countries.

While in the UK, the PM will address a special ceremony to be organized in Oxford University, and have bilateral talks with his British counterpart. Finally, the PM will pay a visit to France and hold bilateral talks with his French counter part Edward Philip.

PM Oli is on the official visits as per the government’s policy to further expand Nepal’s foreign policy and relationship beyond the neighboring countries.

Experts have opined that PM Oli’s high-level official visits to the United Nation’s permanent members the UK and France after a long time on behalf of Nepal will have special significance.
