Kathmandu, April 23: The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has concluded its lower level party unification. The secretariat meeting of the Communist party held at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar had concluded the unification by electing chairpersons and secretaries for all 77 districts of the country. The names were made public at a ceremony held to mark the 70th establishment day of the Communist party on Monday.
Addressing the program, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli said the government is striving to build up a modern and prosperous Nepal.
He said the government with a two-thirds majority is advancing to deliver as per people’s expectation along with maintaining peace and order.
The Prime Minister said that the main opposition Nepali Congress cannot move ahead with patriotic, progressive and social forces, saying that anti-democratic forces are vanishing day by day.
Another chair of the Communist Party Puspa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said the party is preparing to hold general convention after concluding the remaining works of unification. He further said the unification is a victory of all Nepali people, and the national and international communist movements.
