Communication Minister Karki unveils major achievements made by ministry’s subordinate bodies during last FY

Kathmandu: Communication Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki unveiled the major achievements made by the ministry’s subordinate bodies during the last fiscal year.

On the occasion, Minister Karki said the Communication and Information Technology Ministry had prioritized the task of providing prompt and easy services to people with the maximum uses of technology.

The Communication Minister informed that the internet services expanded, Radio Nepal’s broadcasting service reached to 91 per cent of the population, and NTV’s service expanded to 72 per cent of the population during the last fiscal year.

He added that the Ministry and other bodies delivered prompt services via Nagarik App while all the services from Information and Broadcasting Department went online.

Communication Minister Karki further informed that support was provided to the film industry to overcome the impact of the Covid pandemic, and the tasks for operating security printing were initiated during the last fiscal year.
