PM Deuba honours world record-setting mountaineers

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has honoured the world record holder mountaineers.

Nepal Mountaineering Association General Secretary Mohan Lamsal said Prime Minister Deuba called record holder climbers Shanu Sherpa, Nima Gyaljen Sherpa, and Pasang Lahmu Sherpa at Baluwataer today and congratulated them.

Climber Shanu Sherpa has set a world record by scaling the world’s 14 mountains above 8 thousand meters twice.

Similarly, Nima Gyaljen Sherpa has also climbed the world’s 14 mountains above 8 thousand meters.

Likewise, Pasang Lahmu Sherpa has set a world record of becoming the first female woman climber to scale Pakistan’s Nanga Mountain.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba lauded the role of mountaineers for heightening Nepal’s image in the international arena.
