Radio Nepal’s broadcasting service will be expanded to cent per cent population soon: Executive Director KC

Kathmandu: A team of government officers visited Radio Nepal at Sinhadarbar on Wednesday.

The officers who visited Radio Nepal are receiving training on ‘management’ at the Nepal Administrative Staff College.

Speaking at an interaction after the officers’ observation visit of Radio Nepal, Executive Director of Radio Nepal Buddhi Bahadur KC informed the officers about the radio’s overall aspects including broadcasting service and financial status.

On the occasion, Executive Director KC shared that Radio Nepal had been providing its broadcasting service from all the seven provinces and via its 27 FM relay stations.

He further added that Radio Nepal had expanded broadcasting coverage to 91 per cent of the country’s population, and the remaining population would get the service via the terrestrial broadcasting system soon.

Executive Director KC also informed the visiting officers that Radio Nepal could be listened to worldwide through its local and central broadcasting service, online portal, OTT platform, FM and medium wave, among other mechanisms.

Likewise, Radio Nepal’s Deputy Executive Director Chandra Bhushan Das said Radio Nepal had been prioritizing news and programs that strengthen national unity rather than disseminating news and programs for cheap popularity.
