Sutra app would make financial activities of local governments transparent: British Ambassador Pollitt (audio report)

June 23, Kathmandu: The British Embassy in Kathmandu has handed over a mobile app named Sutra to the Government of Nepal (GoN) for making the financial management of local governments more transparent.

The British Ambassador to Nepal, Nicola Pollitt, haded over the app to the Financial Comptroller General of GoN, Suman Raj Aryal, during a ceremony organized on Thursday.

Informing about the app, British Ambassador Pollitt said that the citizens could access the information about the financial activities being carried out by their local governments via the app.

Financial Comptroller General Aryal expressed confidence that the app would help in establishing financial transparency at the local level.
