NA lawmakers stress amending laws related to sexual violence

Kathmandu: Lawmakers have stressed the need for amending laws related to sexual violence.

Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Monday, lawmakers expressed that there should not be any time limitation for filing a case against sexual violence.

Expressing their views during the special hour of the National Assembly, the lawmakers underlined the need for making the existing laws more stringent with amendments in view of growing incidents of rape and sexual violence in the country.

The lawmakers also drew the attention of the government towards price hikes and suggested the government control the soaring prices of petroleum products and other goods.
