Country observing 66th Police Day

October 6, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the Police administration needs to be aware of increasing crimes.

Addressing a special ceremony being organized on the occasion of 66th Police Day at the Police Headquater in Naxal, Prime Minister Deuba said fair investigation was necessary for justice and expressed the belief that Nepal Police would not compromise in the fair investigation of the crime.

Speaking at the same program, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand said Nepal Police had played an important role as an indispensable part of the Government in maintaining peace, security, and following the constitution and rule of law.

Minister Khand, also lauded the role of the Nepal Police who were deployed in protecting people’s lives during Covid-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, Inspector General of Nepal Police Shailesh Thapa Chettri said Nepal Police would always be committed in its duty and responsibility.
