Kathmandu: As many as 3,383 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population regular update, 3,383 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection while carrying out 16,798 tests.
Likewise, 1,994 people have recovered from the contagion in the last 24 hours. So far 660,116 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Nepal. With this, Nepal’s coronavirus recovery rate is 94 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 24 infected have succumbed to COVID-19. With this, the death toll from the contagion has reached 9,922.
The COVID mortality rate is 1.5 per cent. Presently 686 infected people are undergoing treatment at ICU while 162 are being treated with ventilator support, according to the ministry update.
The number of active cases at present is 32, 059.
