Policy Studies in Japan: Scholarships for Young Nepali Government Officials

July 13, Kathmandu: The Government of Japan (GoN) has extended grant assistance of 356 million Japanese Yen to the Nepali government for implementing the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship.

 Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kikuta Yutaka and Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Sishir Kumar Dhungana signed the agreement to this effect on Monday.

Another set of grant agreements for implementing the program was signed by the Chief Representative of JICA Nepal Asakuma Yumiko and Joint Secretary at the Finance Ministery  Dhani Ram Sharma.

As per the agreement, twenty-two young Nepali government officials would get the opportunity to study in Japanese universities for the future policy planning and governance of Nepal.
