Euro Cup group stage concludes; France, Germany, Portugal make it to Round of 16

June 24, Kathmandu: The group stage matches of the UEFA Euro Cup 2020 have concluded.

In the final matches of Group E played on Wednesday, Euro Cup 2008 and 2012 winners Spain defeated Slovakia 5-0 and Sweden defeated Poland 3-2.

Similarly, in the last matches of Group F played also on Wednesday, Fifa World Cup 2018 winners France and defending champion Portugal and Germany and Hungary played a 2-2 draw respectively.

Sweden and Spain made it to Round of 16 as the first and second team of the their group

Likewise, France, Germany, and Portugal have made it to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Euro Cup.

The winners, runner-ups, and best four of the third placed teams go to the knockout round.  

The Round of 16 will start from Saturday.
