EC asks Mahanta Thakur to furnish the central committee decision attested by the signature of the office bearers.

June 3, Kathmandu: The Election Commission has asked People’s Socialist Party’s Chair Mahanta Thakur to furnish the party’s decision attested by the party’s central committee office bearers to the commission.

Joint Spokesperson of the commission Komal Prasad Dhamala said although Chairman Thakur sent a letter to the commission on Wednesday informing about the expulsion of another chair of the party Upendra Yadav, he did not submit the decision of the central committee.

Thus, the commission asked him to furnish the central committee decision attested by the signature of the office-bearers.

On Wednesday itself, Chairman Upendra Yadav had sent a letter to the commission informing about the expulsion of Chairman Mahanta Thakur, Senior leader Rajendra Mahato, leader Laxman Lal Karna and Sarbendranath Sukla.

The commission had asked both the factions to send the details of the party’s activities as per the required format.
