Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli undergoes successful appendectomy

November 26: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has undergone a successful appendectomy.

The Prime Minister who was admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) earlier today for regular checkup was diagnosed with appendicitis. He underwent the appendectomy at the TUTH’s Manmohan Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Transplant Centre and the surgery became successful, according to his press advisor Surya Thapa.

Prof Dr Arun Sayami, Prof Dr Ramesh Singh Bhandari and Dr Dibya Singh among others are involved in his treatment. In the case of appendicitis, an emergency surgery is required, according to doctors. Prior to this, the Prime Minister underwent hemodialyis.
