Nepal Student Union demonstrate over new Indian map

November 7 : Nepal Student Union affiliated to the main opposition party Nepali Congress has staged a mass demonstration in front of the Tri Chandra College, ‎Ghantaghar regarding the placement of Nepal’s territory, Kalapani, Lipulekh within Indian Territory.

The union has drawn the attention of the government to the issue, asking it to take up with India.

Youth leaders of the union also urged the government to resolve the dispute through diplomatic channels.

Student wings have underscored the need for Nepal’s government and all political parties to stand together on such serious issues as country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
