NMB Bank to provide loan for purchasing hydroponics system via Wind Power Nepal

June 8, Lalitpur: NMB Bank Limited and Wind Power Nepal have signed an agreement to invest in and promote technology-based agriculture in Nepal.

In this connection, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the NMB Bank and Wind Power Nepal in Lalitpur on Wednesday to invest in hydroponics technology.

The NMB Bank will provide loans to individuals and businesses interested in purchasing hydroponics systems from Wind Power Nepal.

Hydroponics is a type of horticulture – done without using soil. It can produce 3 to 10 times more using nutrients found in the water itself.

The production cycle, in hydroponics, is shorter and faster, and the nutrient content of the product is higher than that of conventional production.

NMB Bank is investing in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), modern agriculture, infrastructure, and energy.
