Qatari government committed to safety of Nepali workers: Ambassador Yousuf Mohammed

November 15, Bharatpur: Bharatpur Metropolitan City Mayor Renu Dahal met Qatari Ambassador to Nepal Yousuf bin Mohammed Al-Hail on Monday

During the meeting held at the Metropolis’s office in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Ambassador Mohommaed inquired about Chitwan district and its development prospects with Mayor Dahal.

 Ambassador Mohammad informed Dahal that the work was being carried out as per the agreement with the Agriculture and Forestry University in Bharatpur to exchange technology and research with Qatar.

Stating that Nepal is a beautiful country of nature, Ambassador Mohammad said that Nepal could benefit from the promotion of tourism.

Ambassador Mohammed said that the two countries needed to bolster bilateral relations.

The Qatari government is committed to the safety of Nepali workers in Qatar, the Qatari Ambassador said.

Ambassador Mohammad informed that more than half a million Nepalis were working in various sectors in Qatar.

 Expressing happiness over the signing of the bilateral agreement for technology exchange with the Ambassador Mohammad informed Dahal that the work was being carried out as per the agreement with the Agriculture and Forestry University, Mayor Dahal said that the study and research in the field of agriculture and technology would further help in modernizing the agriculture sector of Nepal.

Mayor Dahal also said that Qatar had made enviable development in a short period of time.

According to Mayor Dahal, the Bharatpur Metropolitan City was eager to follow the good practices of Qatar’s development.

During the meeting, the two also discussed Bharatpur Metropolitan City establishing a sister city relationship with Qatari city and cooperating in completing the construction of the International Cricket Stadium being constructed in Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
