Communications Minister Baskota vows to incorporate sentiments all concerned sides in Media Council Bill

Kathmandu, Dec 24: Communications and Information Technology Minister Gokul Baskota has said the Media Council Bill will be forwarded forging consensus among all the stakeholders including their sentiments.

Taking part in the preliminary discussion on Nepal Media Council Bill -2075 BS in the Legislation Management Committee of the Upper House, Minister Baskota said the government is in favour of press that is transparent and responsible to readers, listeners and viewers.

Minister Baskota also stress on the need of fact based journalism that can save people from being misled saying the government is serious about the security of the journalists and investors in media sector.
