Landslides kills 3 people and injured 6 in Baglung district
August 5, Baglung : Three people have died after the landslide buried a house at Tamankhola rural municipality 4 Lammela in Baglung.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office Baglung, Jhabindra Prasad Bhattarai informed that the deceased have been identified as Chandra Kummari Sripali, Prabin Sripali and Asari Sripali.
The landslide has also buried 5 houses.
According to Jok lal Budha, Chairman of Taman khola rural municipality, 6 people injured in the landslide have been rescued and sent to Burtibang Primary Health Centre for treatment.
Similarly, Turture Lake that had been formed after the landslide had stopped Badi gad khola in the district last year has exploded.
Mid hill Highway has been disturbed after the water of the lake swept away the road in the area. Habitants of Dorpatan municipality of western Baglung, Nisi khola and Taman khola rural municipality have started walking on feet after the road was swept away by the water. The residents below the lake have been urged to maintain alert and move to safe places in view of possible dangers.
