Government determined to protect public land: DPM Pokhrel

Kathmandu, August 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Iswar Pokharel has reiterated government’s commitment to protecting public lands.

Inaugurating the Lakhepokhari Democratic Park at Kathmandu Metropolis-6, Bouddha Ramnagar today DPM Pokhrel said all sides irrespective of ruling and opposition parties should work in unison to preserve the encroached public land.

He urged all sides to unite to book those opting to intrude into public land.  He also said that the local government should be very active to stop the encroachment of the public land.
