ABU summit concludes with Kathmandu declaration

Kathmandu, April 26: Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union’s fifth conference has concluded in Kathmandu issuing the Kathmandu Work Plan for Broadcasting institutions.

The declaration issued today has called on all the broadcasters in the Asia Pacific region to share experiences and broadcasting materials addressing natural disasters. It has also urged the broadcasters to bring forth the education and awareness spreading materials to tackle the climate change induced possible disasters.

The two-day conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Radio Nepal and Nepal Television and it dwelt on climate change and the disaster risk mitigation.
