Country is heading towards path of good governmence and development: PM Oli

Butwal, April 20: PM KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the country has caught the path of prosperity through good governance and development.

Addressing a special ceremony organized to mark the memorial day of Nepal’s victory over British Indian in 1872 BS on the very day at Jitgadhi fort of Butwal today, the PM said the campaign of Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalese has been forwarded to change poverty stricken identity of the country to a prosperous one.

He also clarified that no one is allowed to carry out unconstitutional activities terming it religion or politics. Lauding the Nepal Army on the occasion, the PM said that Nepal Army should not be linked to a particular dynasty.

Similarly, addressing the ceremony, Defense Minister Ishwor Pokharel said the campaign of conserving and promoting the forts where Nepalese had fought various wars has begun from Jitgadhi itself.

Likewise, Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Bishu Paudel, Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel, and Nepal Congress chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand also stressed on the need of coordination among three levels of the government for the conservation of and promotion of historical and tourist places like Jitgadhi.

Meantime, PM KP Oli also unveiled a life-size statue of the then commander Colonel Ujirsingh Thapa and unfurled the National flag in the premises.

Today itself, inaugurating the headquarters of Nawalpur district, the PM said Nawalpur will be an exemplary headquarters among the district headquarters in the country.

He also said that Nawalpur will a centre for study for other districts as well.
