Home Minister Khand directs subordinate bodies to mobilize resources for rescue and relief efforts in disaster-hit areas

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said the government is committed to protecting people’s lives.

Speaking at a meeting of the Disaster Management Committee held at the Home Ministry on Sunday, Home Minister Khand directed the subordinate bodies to mobilize resources for rescue and relief efforts in disaster-hit areas. 

The Home Minister further asked the concerned bodies to coordinate and collaborate with local levels to ensure an easy supply of daily essentials and medicines in the affected areas.

The meeting decided to allocate a budget to resume and repair the roads damaged by floods and landslides.
