Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet says Nepal doing utmost to protect the snow leopard

October 24 : Minister of Forest and Environment, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, has said that the Nepal has given top priority for the conservation of snow leopard.

Addressing the meeting of Global Snow Leopard and Eco System Protection in New Delhi of India, Minister Basnet stated that the protection of the snow leopard is the main work of the current government.

He further urged the local community and youths of Nepal to help the government for the protection of the snow leopard.

Minister Basnet  said that the government is planning to establish the Himalayan Research Center for the conservation and protection of the snow leopard.
