Six passengers injured in a road accident in Dang

September 5, Dang :  Six passengers were injured in a road accident that took place at Pakhapani in ward no. 1 of Rapti rural municipality in Dang last night.

The accident took place when a passenger bus heading toward Dang from Rupandehi met an accident. Of the injured, the condition of 19 year old Geeta KC, of Bagchaur municipality-12 and 45 years old Geeta Kumal, of Lamahi municipality-1 is reported to be critical. The accident reportedly took place as a result of the potholes in the road.

Similarly, a minor died of snake bite in Dang yesterday. The incident took place at night when seven-year-old Goma Oli, a resident of Simatara in ward no. 1 of Ghorahi municipality, was bitten by a poisonous snake.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Bikram Shahi, she was rushed to the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences hospital in Ghorahi but died in course of treatment.
