Govt. working to ensure free basic health services: Minister Khapung

September 27, Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Population, Bhawani Prasad Khapung, has said the government is working to provide basic health services free of cost.

At a program organized on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur, and 18th Cancer Awareness Day, on Monday, Minister Khapung mentioned that free basic health services would be provided at health posts and municipal-level hospitals.

Minister Khapung also shared that the government had been providing 78 types of medicines free of cost and 1 hundred thousand Rupees to those suffering from eight types of chronic diseases.
