Remaining task of reconstruction except reconstruction of some heritages will complete within 20 months: PM Oli
Kathmandu, April 25: Prime Minister KP Shama Oli has said that the remaining task of reconstruction except for reconstruction of some heritages will complete within 20 months.
Speaking at the 4th Gorkha Earthquake Memorial ceremony organized by National Reconstruction Authority at the Basantapur Darbar Square of Kathmandu today, PM Oli said that the reconstruction work has been expedited.
Stating that the rebuilding of most of the private houses, public buildings and schools have been completed, the PM urged the National Reconstruction Authority to complete the remaining reconstruction work of historical heritages through coordination and collaboration with all the concerned stakeholders.
Meantime, PM Oli applauded various national and international aid agencies and organizations for their assistance in Nepal’s reconstruction efforts of historical heritages like various temples and shrines that are unique in the world.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya pointed out lack of coordination between the Archaeological Department and Reconstruction Authority in the course of the reconstruction of heritages in the Metropolitan city.
Similarly, National Reconstruction Authority CEO Sushil Gyawali informed that the reconstruction works have been accelerated as per the goal though it was slightly delayed in the past.
