8th National Games concludes today

Nepalganj, April 24: 8 th National Games has been concluded amidst a grand programme in Nepalganj today.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the mega national sporting event, Vice-President Nanad Bahadur Pun has said sports not only enhances fraternity and friendship but only keeps people healthy. Besides, sports can contribute to enhance national identity amidst international arena.

Meantime, Vice-President  Pun handed over the medals to the winners of various games.

In the madal tally, Tribhuvn Army club became first by securing 140 gold, 81 silver and 67 bronze medals. Similarly, Nepal Police Club became second with 62 gold, 48 silver and 46  bronze medals. Likewise, the province 3 secured the third position with 22 gold, 40 silver and 60 bronze medals.

Meanwhile the 9th national game has been scheduled to be held in Pokhara of Gandaki Province from 4-11 March 2021 and flag has been handed to the representatives of the Gandaki Province.
