UML’s attention drawn regarding land acquired for party office building

Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has said that the exaggerated comments made concerning the land acquired for the construction of the party’s central office building are regrettable.

The party has said that it has taken serious note of the discussions, debates and comments on the subject.

A press release issued today by the Chief of the Central Publicity and Publication Department, of the party, Rajendra Gautam, states, ‘Exaggerated comments made on the issue of land acquisition and permanent solution for the construction of the central office building are very regrettable. This level of defamation against a party and its leadership is reprehensible.’

The party said that a businessman and well-wisher of the party Meen Bahadur Gurung and his wife Savitri Gurung provided 10 ropani 14 anna of land in Kirtipur Municipality-2, Maitrinagar free of cost for the construction of a central office building.

The 38th meeting of the Secretariat has formally accepted the support and thanked him to this end therefore there was no issue of negative comments on it, reads the release.

The press release has further clarified that land donor Gurung has been a supporter of the party since his school days and was involved in various party’s sister wings’ activities in the past. Cases related to him were his matters, which he had to face on his own.
