Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli refutes rumors of Nepali Congress and UML lead Coalition government change

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has refuted the rumours of the current Nepali Congress and UML lead coalition government.

Addressing a program in the Police Headquarters in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 69th Police Day, Prime Minister Oli said the current constitution and political system accepted people as the main source of the state’s power and it is the common duty of all Nepali to protect it.

Reiterating the purpose of the current government for ending the political instability and strengthening the federal republic, Prime Minister Oli requested everyone not to believe the rumour that the government would change soon.

Prime Minister Oli said there is a need for professional integrity of police personnel for maintaining peace in the society.

The Prime Minister said the government is committed to the development of resources and capability of the police.

On the same occasion, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak said there is a need to focus on the development of the capability of Nepal Police to mitigate the increasing crimes by misusing information and technology.

Home Minister Lekhak urged the police personnel to execute the service to the people in a more disciplined and professional manner.
